Roberto Clemente Middle School is home to the Up-County Humanities and Communications Magnet Program and the Math, Science, and Computer Science Magnet Program. Getting accepted into such a prestigious program brings with it great pride but it can also cause new stress as middle school students take on the workload of juniors and seniors in high school. This is where our Peer2Peer Tutors come in. Many of our Peer2Peer Tutors have been through some of these same magnet programs and have lived to tell the tale! Peer2Peer Tutors have also graduated from these magnet programs with acceptances into the International Baccalaureate Program at Richard Montgomery High School, the Humanities and Communication Program, Global Ecology Program, and Science, Math, and Computer Science Programs at Poolesville High School. That’s not all! Our Peer2Peer Tutors have not only been accepted into these programs but they are excelling at the top of their classes and applying to Ivy League Colleges.

 

Middle School Students are at a highly impressionable age. Our Peer2Peer Tutors can act as role models and help guide them through their academic life in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. Here at Peer2Peer we know that sometimes its not an issue of understanding the work, but its an issue of having confidence. We will work with your child to boost their confidence level and help them have faith in his or her own abilities. Sometimes, your child might just need help adjusting to the new workload of a magnet program or middle school in general.
